Wareham Legions Club

Well I hope you are all in fine fettle. For those of you who couldn't make the AGM the bottom line is that, with your support, we had a good financial year showing a final profit of nearly £5000. Most of the planned surplus for the coming year will be ploughed back into the Club as we intend to refurbish the entrance and both sets of toilets in the near future. The Xmas dinner was sold out in the first week, so apologies to anyone that missed out, but also in the planning is a Burns Night Spectacular with Haggis, a Piper and wee Jimmy!! This will be in January, but a poster will be up in the Club soon. I advise you to get your names up quickly as this was a great night last year and is bound to be really popular again. Alternatively you can book your seat from the website, just send an email confirming to the Secretary.

The Club Xmas Draw has started, we are already up to page 13, usual format, 20p a go, loads of great prizes so get your names down!

Please remember we are available to host parties etc and on such nights, providing it will be well supported, WE WILL PAY FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT!!! Next months entertainment is here so get yourselves along and join in the fun.

This year we are looking to get the membership up above 200 so come on everyone lets make an effort. To this end we have halved the Club Subs to £5.00, OAP rates are left the same at £2.00. Alison Ward is the new Membership Sec so queries to her. As usual Club and Branch Membership forms are available behind the bar.
Remember this is your Club, run for your benefit, we are trying to put something on every week that will hopefully appeal to most. If you have any input, suggestions or complaints please feel free to drop me an email. Please feel free to bring guests along, as long as they are signed in they are most welcome, BUT BEAR IN MIND WE HAVE VACANCIES FOR NEW MEMBERS.

The Club is available for Weddings, Wakes, Meetings, Reunions etc just drop a line here or leave your details at the Club or with a Committee member.
We also now have a nice new Skittle alley that is available for hire or if you fancy playing for our teams come along and have a laugh, usually at our expense!!

The event was a great success, the money isn't all in yet but it looks like we raised over £400 for the club. Thanks to everyone who took part and sponsored us.
